Delhi Metro : Lines
Since its inception in December 2002 with a modest 8.4 km stretch on the Red Line, the Delhi Metro (DMRC) has undergone a massive transformation. By 2025, the network has matured into a world-class rapid transit system, spanning over 390 kilometers and serving 288+ stations across 12 color-coded lines. Today, it stands as the backbone of India's capital, ranking among the most extensive and technologically advanced metro systems globally.
The network is strategically designed to bridge the gap between bustling commercial hubs, premier educational institutions, and iconic tourist landmarks. More than just a city service, it acts as a vital regional lifeline, seamlessly connecting Delhi with the NCR satellite cities of Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Bahadurgarh.
